David Korsak has worked in the Finance and Accounting industry for the past 8 years. He began his experience in the public accounting sector, gaining a wide range of accounting, tax and business experience including tax preparation, informational reporting for individuals, corporations, s-corporations, trusts, and non-for-profit entities. In addition he managed various clients’ payrolls and accounting, and provided work for attest and non-attest engagements.
David transitioned to become a Controller and later became the Director of Finance for a Tribal Government, where he built an entire accounting and finance department from the ground up, including making decisions that improved efficiencies and controls for the entire organization. Additionally, he was able to gain valuable experience working with the 18 departments at the organization, including an Education department (a private school) and a Community-Giving department. David is excited to bring his experience to the Ed Fund and make a difference in the lives of children. He has a passion for education and believes that everyone deserves an equal chance to gain knowledge.
David was born in Bay Shore, NY and attended Dixon High School. After high school, David enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, where he made it through the enlisted ranks to Corporal. He received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and his Master’s Degree in Finance from Northeastern University.
