Lilly joined the Oakland Public Education Fund as a Program Coordinator for Oakland School Volunteers in April of 2016. Previously, she worked as the Community Engagement Manager and Volunteer Coordinator for Super Stars Literacy, helping students catch up to grade level reading proficiency by bringing the community together to support young learners achieve academically.
She hails from Austin, Texas, where her volunteer coordinating background began while organizing for underdog political campaigns. She received her BA from the University of Texas at Austin in December of 2012 where she double majored in African and African Diaspora Studies as well as History. Lilly is an AmeriCorps Alumni (Oakland, 2013-15). Her passion is creating equal access to education for all students!
