Casey LaBarbera

Casey LaBarbera was born and raised in the Bay Area: living in Fremont and going to Washington High School. He grew an interest in public service, local politics, and social equality while studying at the University of Oregon where he earned his Bachelor of Sciences degree majoring in Political Science with a career path emphasis on public policy.
After graduating in the spring of 2020 he worked a few different jobs including some time as an environmental justice canvasser. Casey then spent the summer of 2021 as a Camp Program Leader in Point Reyes with the YMCA of San Francisco. Working with youth and high-school volunteers full-time with the YMCA gave him experience with community service, scheduling, and youth outreach.
He joined the Ed Fund as an Americorps Volunteer Services Associate in September 2021 through Americorp’s Bay Area Youth Consortium Agency (BAYAC). He enjoys cooking with family, the Golden State Warriors, and traveling to U.S. National Parks.
