Eric Kwak immigrated to the United States when he was eight years old and grew up in Koreatown, Los Angeles. He attended the public schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District and was the first to attend college in his family. He hopes to use his experience and education to advocate for the students here in Oakland.
His prior experiences include being a Head Start teacher, working at the Alameda County Office of Education and Ed-Trust West. He holds a B.S. in business administration from UC Berkeley and M.S. in education from Dominican University.
