The Ed Fund Advisory Board is a diverse group of leaders from across sectors, disciplines, and backgrounds. Together, they support The Ed Fund’s mission to strengthen community resources in Oakland public schools—so all students can learn, grow, and thrive. This spring, we welcome four new members:
Caleb Ren, Product Manager at IXL Learning, brings experience working at the intersection of education, technology, and social justice to help strengthen programs like TechLink.
Gina Tomlinson, Founder and President of T5 Solutions Technology Consulting Services and an award-winning Information Technology business leader, brings a range of technology experience across public, private, non-profit, higher education, and startup sectors.
Heer Shaikh works in Product & Partner Success at A Moment of You, Amoofy. She has worked internationally to support students and educators, bringing her experience in education, youth development, and community impact to support the Ed Fund’s programs and initiatives.
Andre Sternberg, born and raised in the East Bay, is Managing Director at Cro Metrics. He brings a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently leading digital fundraising at the Sierra Club. He will support The Ed Fund in thinking bigger and expanding fundraising capacity in the digital space.
Meet the Co-Chairs
Molly Lorenz and Mike McGuirk have filled our Advisory Board’s newly implemented co-chair roles.
Molly has served on the Advisory Board since 2018-19, supported the West Oakland Middle School library renovation through the Adopt an Oakland School program, and planned our highly successful 20th Anniversary Gala and inaugural Oakland Grown Student Art and Music Festival.
Mike is an Oakland native with over a decade of experience managing social impact projects, teams, and communications across various causes, sectors, and countries.
We are thrilled to have their support as we continue to build the impact of the Advisory Board and the Ed Fund now and in the future.
