Join Our Team of One-Time (Virtual) Volunteers
We host 5 special events each school year powered by volunteers. Volunteer read aloud for a heritage month, help with back to school season, or tutor computer science. Volunteer opportunities also include campus beautification, career day guest opportunities, library support and more! For now, all opportunities are virtual and online.
Please sign up below if you or your team are available to volunteer for one-time events. We will invite you to sign up for volunteer opportunities throughout the school year.

Annual Events & Volunteer Opportunities
Teachers have precious little time to prepare their classrooms before the first day of school in August. Check out these photos from previous events. More information TBD dependent upon school reopening.
To celebrate diversity in literature and highlight representation, we host three Read-Ins every year. Hundreds of volunteers film special guest read-aloud videos to share with schools across Oakland.
