David Ling

David will be an integral part of our leadership team, focusing on how we grow and support our most valuable asset: our people. He’ll be leading our talent, HR, leadership development. The Chief People Officer role is especially important as we grow the organization and operationalize our strategic plan.

David has deep roots right here in the Bay Area. He comes to us with a 25 yr background in education and HR, including most recently six years as the Chief People Officer for KIPP Public Schools Northern California. In that role, he led a large team focused on talent and HR. Before that, he spent his career in education, including the founding of a middle school here in Oakland.

David is a proud UC Berkeley and Johns Hopkins alum. When he’s not at work, he loves spending time with his family and, like many of us, is a huge soccer fan.
